A Heartfelt Note of Thanks

Dearest Dharma Brothers and Sisters,

We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every participant, from different countries, for your kind supportive response and great love towards Venerable Shangpa Rinpoche.

Within a short time of uploading our appeal, many pledges drifted into Rinpoche’s blog. It is so very inspiring and delightful to see Venerable Shangpa Rinpoche’s blog being flooded with the names of participants with the pledges to dedicate the merits of reciting a minimal of 100,000 times Mother Tara’s mantras towards Rinpoche’s well being.

All of us may have come from different countries or places, but we have one heart and one thought and that is to pray for the well being of our Guru. That thoughtful heartfelt pledge of good aspirations would not have been able to manifest if not for the wonderful quality of your pure devotion towards your Guru.

The birthday of Venerable Shangpa Rinpoche, is indeed a joyous day for all of us, as all the compassionate ones have granted us our aspirations, which we might have been prayed for, day and night, since many life times, or perhaps, as long as from the beginingless time.

Likewise, through the collective devoted recitation of the mantra of the Mother of all Buddhas ( great Mother Tara) in these times, the vast merits accumulated would definitely reap the positive results of our prayers towards Rinpoche's longevity, good health and well being as well as the accomplishment of his noble activities for the benefit of all beings. In addition, this practice would also bring much blessings and benefit to oneself and all sentient beings.

Let’s us rejoice with those who have participated in this pledge and we encourage and welcome more dharma brothers and sisters to join us in this meaningful and meritorious act.

Therefore may all of us, the extremely fortunate ones who are being infused and tinted with the sweet fragrance of our humble Guru’s good qualities, with one heart and mind, in this auspicious occasion, recite the mantra of Mother Tara together with aspiration prayers for Rinpoche’s longevity. May his lotus feet be firm and may Rinpoche turn the wheel of profound Dharma ceaselessly. May Rinpoche also ceaselessly and compassionately showers his blessings upon us and guide us and all sentient beings, without exception, to the state of ultimate blissfulness – the perfect enlightenment!

Pledge to recite the Mantras of Mother Tara- Om Tare Tut Tare Ture Svaha

Let’s unveil our heartfelt gratefulness and repay the kindness of our exceedingly compassionate Guru, Venerable Shangpa Tulku, by manifesting our good wishes in the form of prayers and mantras of the “Heroic Swift Liberator”, Mother Tara. Let the blessing-streams of the Mother Tara flow and reach out to him and constantly fill his heart, wherever he is, with the blissful nectar of the graceful one

Come, be one of us! We sincerely call each and every one of you, who has the close affinity with Rinpoche, to participate in pledging a minimum recitation of 100,000 times Mother Tara’s mantras. You are encouraged to pledge more than the minimal recitations of the mantra according to your wish and ability. Recitation can commence immediately upon the pledge. Please inform us your final counts of the mantras recited via Rinpoche’s blog on or before 1st September 2010 so that we may collate the final accumulated mantras. Through the collective merits of all Rinpoche’s close disciples, this is the most thoughtful and meaningful birthday present to him. Such a gift filled with immeasurable great love, care and thoughtfulness towards Rinpoche, will be dedicated to him on his birthday. It is a simple and most sincere way for us to repay his great kindness as well as to mark as the auspiciousness for Rinpoche's 52nd birthday. We wish that this present specially created with love will constantly inspire and warm Rinpoche’s heart throughout his entire life's journey. We pray and wish that Rinpoche will always be watched dearly and blessed by the graceful Mother Tara. May Rinpoche enjoy longevity, good health, and be happy always. May Rinpoche spontaneously and effortlessly fulfill all his dharma activities and wishes.

To conclude this special activity, each and every participant will receive a beautiful photograph of Mother Tara (taken from Rinpoche’s personal Thangka collections) with Rinpoche’s autograph and blessed by Rinpoche himself, as an appreciation token. On top of that, Rinpoche will present 21 unique Green Tara ’s pendants, blessed by Rinpoche himself as well, to 21 lucky participants from the pledging lists. The 21 participants will be randomly drawn by way of lucky dip.
