(b) Kutsab Ternga Monastery - old Monastery rebuilt by the 1st Shangpa Rinpoche. He stayed here for sometime during then.

(c) KIBS – Kagyu Institute of Buddhist Institute at Kirtipur built by Ven Shangpa Rinpoche.

Acclimatization : Muktinath is located at about 3800m above sea level, the higher the altitude the less oxygen there is in the air. Your body needs many days to adapt to this and some may experience symptoms of AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) likes mild headaches, fever, loss of appetite or stomach disorder. We advise specially those with known heart or lungs or blood diseases to consult their doctor before traveling.

Dear all,
Have you read “The Journey on the Moon” posted by Venerable Shangpa Rinpoche in His blog (www://shangparinpoche.blogspot.com)? Do the affectionate write-up and pictures of stunning scenery capture your heart effortlessly?

Our guess is many of you are charmed this travelogue and you now may have the earnest wish to also experience such a wonderful journey.

Now, you can turn your dream into a reality as Rinpoche and His Lamas will lead us in a Pilgrimage to Muktinath and Jomson (Holy places of Guru Rinpoche); and another Pilgrimage to Yolmo Holy Meditation Cave of Milarepa (Tiger Cave Lion Fortress), in October and December respectively. Please see below the itineraries of both pilgrimages.
These sacred sites are teeming with the great compassion and blessings conferred by Guru Rinpoche and our glorious great forefather, Lord Milerapa. All fortunate and devoted ones who visit, contemplate, meditate and say prayers in these holy places with a pure heart will definitely purify much of the negative karma and at the same time accumulate lots of merits. What a compassionate skilful means displayed by Buddha and all the great accomplished ones! How fortunate we are!
Come! Do register and join Rinpoche in these pilgrimages and be embraced by a natural ambience that is totally different from our busy world of life. Experience a silent yet profound transformation resulting in a more meaningful and spiritual way of life.
