Annual Grand Mahakala Puja at Jangchub Choeling Monastery

These days, our Sangha of Jangchub Choeling Monastery is busy with the annual grand Mahakala Puja. Tonight, we just finished the 6th day and tomorrow will be last day of the Mahakala Puja. Usually, we have Lama dances on the last day but this year we are not performing Lama dance but the throwing of Torma and fire Puja will continue. There are around 90 Lama in the puja and some are busy preparing the Torma and serving tea and meals to the monks so altogether, there are about 105 Lama involve in this grand event. The whole event goes very nicely and we all sincerely pay homage, make offerings, confess to Mahakala and whole assembly takes refuge and make many noble wishes for everyone. Every single one of us feels the joyful moment of being together in harmony and our senior Lamas make offerings to the Sangha as well.

This year Tseyang Rinpoche takes the role of a Vajra Master of this Puja and he plays his role superbly. He completed a retreat two years ago and has gained good experience for such a responsibility.

After the grand Mahakala puja, Tibetan New Year is approaching soon and we usually welcome and celebrate Losar for three days and thereafter, life goes back to normal. I do not have much time to write as I am engaged with puja daily and have little time for rest so I can’t think of writing any interesting article. Now I am writing because I did not manage to craft something out for a while.

I wish to thank all the people who have participated and contributed towards the grand Mahakala Puja at Jangchub Choeling Monastery. Because of this participation and contribution, we manage to do these puja very well and therefore I and the entire group of lama wishes every one of you happiness, good health and prosperity for the coming year and many happy returns.

Dear Rinpochela,

I believe the blue flower is Skyblue Clustervine that belongs to the morning glory family. Scientific name Jacquemontia pentanthos. It is a creeper with gorgeous blooms especially after a rain or in cool temperatures.

Cheers,
meng

You have to express more your opinion to attract more readers, because just a video or plain text without any personal approach is not that valuable. But it is just form my point of view
