About my schedule for the coming months

I was not able to go online for the past few days due to some problems with my modem connection but it is all right now.

 

Some time ago, I planned to visit USA again as I was invited by various Bodhipath centres for teachings which would take more than a month. I was preparing to go, but I had to cancel last minute because there are some important work I have to attend to in Nepal and I cannot cancel some of the programs in Singapore this time. So I regret to inform that I will not be going to USA this year. 

I remember my last visit to USA just a year before. I visited many Bodhipath centres and met with so many wonderful people. I remember vividly that people come to listen to my teachings with a lot of interest and were always very attentive. My stay in USA was made very memorable due to the care and assistance of devotees while I was traveling and wherever I stayed. I always remember them and wish them well. I will visit the next time when circumstances permit me to go.

Soon I will be going to Nepal and it is again a festive season at our monastery because the fourth month in our Tibetan calendar, which we call Saga Dawa, is coming. It contains the day commemorating the birth, enlightenment and parinirvana of lord Buddha. Our monastery, the same as all other Tibetan monasteries, is busy with lots of programs from the 1st to the full moon day of the month. In Pokhara, we are having 8 pairs of Nyungne fasting, according to the Kriya Tantra method of practice of the 1000 arms and 1000 eyes Avalokiteshvara.  It is a very popular practice among Tibetan and Nepalese Buddhists to participate in such a retreat. In between the practice, we also teach Dharma, touching especially on the topic of Avalokiteshvara, in Tibetan and Nepali language. 

I will be able to write more when I am in Nepal and I will also be getting lots of information about my early life story from my mother and post these on my blog for you to read.
